American Military Retirees Association (AMRA)
Welcome. The American Military Retirees Association (AMRA) was founded in 1973 and currently has over 30,000 members. AMRA works to protect and improve the benefits of all military retirees.
AMRA also fundraises for the memorial scholarship fund as well as other meaningful projects.
American Veterans (AMVETS )
As one of America’s foremost veterans service organizations, AMVETS (or American Veterans) has a proud history of assisting veterans and sponsoring numerous programs that serve our country and its citizens. The helping hand that AMVETS extends to veterans and their families takes many forms.
One of the most visible is our network of trained national service officers (NSOs) accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Funded by the AMVETS National Service Foundation, these dedicated men and women can be found in close to 40 states, providing sound advice and prompt action on compensation claims at no charge to the veteran.
Since then, the original charter has been amended several times to admit as members those who served in different eras. Today, membership in AMVETS is open to anyone who is currently serving, or who has honorably served, in the U.S. Armed Forces from World War II to the present, to include the National Guard and Reserves.
Over the years, AMVETS has been in the forefront of public-policy related to national defense, services for homeless veterans, adequate funding for the Department of Veterans Affairs, concurrent receipt of retirement pay and disability compensation by disabled military retirees, veterans employment and training, POW/MIA accountability and flag protection.
In addition to the work of our national service officers, other AMVETS members, as well as those in the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary, will devote as many as 250,000 hours of free time a year to brighten the lives of hospitalized veterans. Here, something as simple as playing cards with the lonely or watching television with the disabled can make a world of difference.
So can the assistance we give those who want to finish their education. Each year AMVETS awards scholarships totaling $40,000 to deserving high school seniors, ROTC students and veterans pursuing higher education.
But helping others is not limited to our fellow veterans. AMVETS members in more than 1,400 posts nationwide also promote and support “quality
of life” community-service programs ranging from Special Olympics and ROTC to scouting and organ-donor projects.
Apart from these initiatives, the organization has thrown its monetary support behind work on such national monuments as the USS. Arizona, the Statue of Liberty and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It also sponsors its own carillon program to honor America’s deceased servicemen and women. Since 1949, when President Truman dedicated the first carillon at Arlington National Cemetery, this program has grown to encompass more than 60 sites in the United States and overseas.
Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV)
Welcome. The Association of Avian Veterinarians (AAV) contains almost 4000 members, from many countries around the world. The goal of the AAV is to advance and promote avian medicine and stewardship.
British American Business Council of New England (BABCNE )
The British American Business Council of New England, Inc. (BABCNE) is a non-profit international business association with a membership of more than 100 New England-based companies and individuals involved in transatlantic trade. It was launched in September 1986 by HRH The Prince of Wales.
The Council is dedicated to helping its members build and manage their businesses by providing them with introductions and referrals, marketing & networking opportunities and business intelligence through a variety of programs, trade services and publications. The programs range from events with distinguished speakers from government, industry and academia, to informational seminars on current business issues and international networking evenings.
BABCNE is a founding member of the British American Business Council (BABC) network which consists of 32 business organizations located in the US and UK and with affiliates in Canada and Mexico. Its combined membership includes around 4,000 companies and individuals involved in international trade, and provides invaluable networking opportunities to the members of the various chapters.
British-American Business Council of Tampa Bay (BABC )
The British-American Business Council Tampa Bay (BABC Tampa Bay) was first incorporated in 1985 as the British-American Chamber of Comerce of Tampa Bay and is an affiliate member of the British-American Business Council (BABC), which represents more than 10,000 executives of 33 member organizations in the United States, Canada, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
The principle purpose is to promote trade and commerce between the United States and the United Kingdom. Locally, we represent a variety of companies and individuals who are either English establishing contacts, or setting up a business in the US -- or, Americans wishing to do business in the UK and/or attract inward investment.

Greater Washington Urban League (GWUL )
Founded in 1938 and one of more than 100 affiliates of the National Urban League, the Greater Washington Urban League is a major civil rights and social services organization located in the District of Columbia. The League has nearly
70 years of experience in dealing effectively with a wide range of social and economic problems, and is governed by a 37-member Board of Directors composed of a cross-section of individuals from the Washington metropolitan area, and an Advisory Board that lends expertise and guidance to support the work of the agency.
The mission of the League is "to increase the economic and political empowerment of African Americans and other minorities and to help all Americans share equally in the responsibilities and rewards of full citizenship." To accomplish its mission, the League uses the tools and methods of social work, economics, law and other disciplines to bring about equal opportunities and equal access to African Americans and minorities in the Washington metropolitan area.
This new decade and century see the Greater Washington Urban League continuing an ongoing partnership with major institutions in both the public and private sectors to alleviate the hardships experienced by our constituents. Such partnerships also provide new avenues for our constituents to enter into the economic mainstream. Base support is provided by various private funding sources and the League also has contracts with federal and local government agencies to conduct specially-funded programs. Although many of our programs are government funded, the League continually seeks creative ways in which to involve the private sector and community groups in joint programmatic ventures.
International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAPMO )
The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials has been protecting the public’s health and safety for more than eighty years by working in concert with government and industry to implement comprehensive plumbing and mechanical systems around the world.
As a membership-based association, IAPMO is proud to utilize an open consensus process in the development of our flagship Uniform Plumbing Code and Uniform Mechanical Code. These codes are established through scientific research, debate, and analysis, strengthening our position at the forefront of the plumbing and mechanical industries.

Kansas Veterinary Medical Association (KVMA )
The KVMA promotes the advancement of its members and the veterinary profession.
The Kansas Veterinary Medical Association is a not-for-profit membership association formed in 1904 and headquartered in Topeka, Kansas. Current membership is comprised of approximately 600 Kansas and 350 out of state veterinarians.
The Kansas Veterinary Medical Association is a professional organization supporting Kansas veterinarians. Areas of emphasis include legislation, education, ethical behavior, and public awareness. Marine Corps Association (MCA)
The Marine Corps Association was formed at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba on 25 April 1913, by Marines of the 2d Provisional Brigade. John A. Lejeune, then a lieutenant colonel, headed the MCA’s first executive committee. In a statement signed by members of the committee, Lejeune and his fellow officers declared the MCA would publish the history of the Marine Corps and disseminate “…information concerning the aims, purposes and deeds of the Corps, and the interchange of ideas for the betterment and improvement of its officers and men…” That objective continues to drive the Association into the 21st century.
Military Officers Association of America (MOAA)
The Military Officers Association of America (MOAA) is the largest military officers association in the Untied States with 375,000 members and the only military association in the United States that provides full transition services for its members and their spouses. Included in those services is a job board where employers from all over the nation post a wide variety of positions and, by request, receive resumes from our member database free of charge. The positions are viewed daily by hundreds of MOAA members in job transition who are highly intelligent, dedicated, loyal, hard working professionals, and experienced leaders and managers in the widest variety of technical and general fields.
National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA )
NAVTA is a non-profit association that represents and promotes the profession of Veterinary Technology.
NAVTA provides direction, education, support and coordination for its members. Incorporated in 1981, NAVTA is the national organization devoted exclusively to developing and enhancing the profession of veterinary technology, through education, advocacy and promotion within the industry and to the general public.NAVTA is committed to education, career growth and the advancement of its members.

Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association (OKVMA)
The Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association (OVMA) is a professional trade organization for veterinarians. The association was formed in 1907 and incorporated in 1934.
The membership of the association is composed of over 1,000 individual Oklahoma veterinarians, Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary medicine faculty, veterinary students, out-of-state veterinarians, and allied members.
Member veterinarians enjoy many benefits of belonging to the OVMA. They are bound to the common goals of animal welfare and professionalism.
Every year, each veterinarian licensed in Oklahoma must obtain 20 hours of continuing education to maintain their license to practice veterinary medicine in Oklahoma. The OVMA is a source for their education.
State University of New York - Delhi (SUNYD)
SUNY Delhi, founded in 1913, is a thriving state institution that now serves over 3,000 students. SUNY Delhi is located in the foothills of the Catskill Mountains; the campus is approximately 3.5 hours from New York City and less than 2 hours from the state capital of Albany. Students may also pursue degrees in select programs offered at Schenectady County Community College as well as on-line.

Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA)
The Texas Veterinary Medical Association (TVMA) was organized in 1903 and continues to operate as a nonprofit organization under the laws of the state of Texas. The purpose of TVMA is to support veterinarians as they practice the art and science of veterinary medicine in Texas. TVMA is owned by its members who pay dues and use our products, programs and services. These member-owners currently number over 3500 licensed veterinarians practicing throughout the state of Texas.
Today, TVMA is one of the largest state veterinary medical associations in the nation and is recognized for its leadership on important issues, innovative solutions and effective representation. The excellence of its educational programs, publications and legislative efforts has fostered an outstanding reputation among veterinarians and sister associations across the country.
University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine (UGACVM )
The University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, founded in 1946, is dedicated to training future veterinarians, providing services to animal owners and veterinarians, and conducting investigations to improve the health of animals as well as people.
The college benefits pets and their owners, food-producing animals, and wildlife by offering the highest quality hospital and diagnostic laboratory services. Equipped with the most technologically advanced facilities located on a university campus, the college is dedicated to safeguarding public health by studying emerging infectious diseases that affect both animal and human health.
The college enrolls 96 students each fall out of more than 500 who apply. It has more than 130 faculty members.
University of Missouri-Columbia College of Veterinary Medicine (UMCVM )
The MU College of Veterinary Medicine has several foci of strength. One is the unique clinical curriculum. The curriculum in the last two years requires six continuous weeks in each of seven clinical specialties. Teaching is done in a form of apprenticeship with as much pragmatic involvement as possible in the Teaching Hospital. The design of teaching within blocks is highly flexible and permits frequent adaptation and improvement. Graduates are offered an average of nearly three jobs each.
University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine (UWSVM )
The University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine (SVM) offers a four-year professional degree program leading to the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree. The goal of the professional curriculum is to provide each graduate with a broad veterinary medical education and the skills necessary for the profession.

Urban League of Greater New Orleans (ULNO )
In 1938 at the urging of negro businessmen and local religious leaders, the Council of Social Agencies, aided by Jesse O. Thomas, Southern Field Secretary for the National Urban League, founded the Urban League of Greater New Orleans. The conditions facing Negro New Orleanians mirrored those of other urban dwellers which propelled the newly formed group to advocate for better race relations which would be the foundation for improving the plight of Negroes economically and socially. The urban League would serve as a "clearing house" for the industrial, social, and general welfare problems of the Negro people.
Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh (ULPGH )
The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh was founded in 1918 with the shared National Urban League mission of enabling African-Americans to secure economic self-reliance, parity and power, and civil rights. Today, the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh has become one of the most accomplished affiliates in the country, leading by example with a perfect 5 out of 5 on a recent performance review conducted by the National Urban League. The rating assessed three key criteria: organizational soundness, organizational vitality, and implementation of mission.
The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh is focused on serving African-American constituents and other minorities, but no one is ever turned away. Last fiscal year, the affiliate served over 36,000 individuals in Pittsburgh and the surrounding counties. As the largest comprehensive social service/civil rights organization in Southwestern Pennsylvania, the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh provides services in the areas of education, health advocacy, housing, early childhood and youth development, hunger services, employment and career training and counseling, and economic empowerment. For example, between July 1, 2006 and June 30, 2007, the agency served more than 2,500 youth through its Education and Youth Development Department, more than 5,000 adults through its Employment Training and Economic Empowerment Department, more than 4,600 children, youth and adults through the Family Growth and Child Development Department, and more than 24,000 people through the Housing Department and Hunger Services Program.
Two of the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh’s current programs – Operation Home and Hunger Services – provide outreach to residents of Allegheny, Butler, Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland Counties. Operation Home offers first time homebuyers classes to prepare themselves to qualify for home buying. Hunger Services provides counseling and referral to citizens who are eligible to receive food stamps but who may not realize it.
Utah Society of Association Executives (USAE )
The Utah Society of Association Executives (USAE) is the Utah affiliate of the American Society of Association Executive (ASAE). Based in Midvale Utah, the USAE is here to provide a networking opportunity for associations and organization across the state. The USAE meets each month in various locations throughout the state.
